09:30-10:00 Presentation: Revised 2020 A2 KEY and B1

To outline why A2 KEY, A2 KEY for Schools, B1 PET and B1 Pet for Schools are changing from 2020 and what the changes are.

10:00-11:00 Workshop: Informal Assessment in the English Language Classroom  

Jane Delaney presents different types of classroom assessment to help develop learners’ language skills, explores ways that teachers can measure achievement throughout the term to help prepare learners for Cambridge English exams and provides teachers with a take-away set of teaching ideas/classroom activities.

11:00-11:30 Presentation: Computer-based exams 

Alex De Nogal, Business Development Support Manager, Cambridge English Language Assessment Spain & Portugal, talks about computer-based exams and gives a brief demonstration of how they work.

11:30-12:00 Coffee Break - A chance to enjoy a cuppa and chat with colleagues.

12:00-13:15  Workshop: Learning and the learner - differentiation, language knowledge and awareness  

Jane talks about differentiation, language knowledge and awareness – what it is, why it’s important and how it can be achieved. She discusses practical ways of differentiating by task, method and outcome as well as different ways of providing extra support or challenge for mixed-level learners.

13:15-13:30  Technology tasters for the classroom

Jackie Robbins presents a ‘tastet’ of some easy-to use online tools to really engage students.
